I've started on a new hand-drawn map for our upcoming 5e campaign guide: "The Adventurer's Guide to Eastern Farraway"! 🖌️🎨☕️
This time, it's an overview of the North Star Region, one of the two main regions that make up the realm. I'm currently working on the banner (I love drawing banners!) using my trusty dip ink pen. Next up: Lots of mountains!

Today I’ve been working on the first sketches of a male mist elf, a new species for our upcoming book.
Mist elves live high up in remote mountains and have pale, almost translucent skin. The dwarves call them mountain elves, and they are also known as dream elves or älvor.
Most mist elves live in secluded areas and rarely interact with common people in Eastern Farraway. However, they can sometimes be seen dancing in the morning or evening mist, and they are also known to quietly lead lost people back to the road…

From the book:
" The two first full moons of the year are called the Wolf Moon and Snow Moon, and the latter signals the start of The Soup Days. This cooking-oriented tradition dates back as far as memory and it is celebrated by most people in Eastern Farraway, especially in the countryside.
During the celebrations, which last a full ten days, people eat only soup for every meal. Merchants, nobles and other wealthy people will have extravagant soups with cream, seafood such as crayfish and scallop, or truffle and farmed mushrooms. Meanwhile, poor people often eat soups or broth based on root vegetables and scrap meats. Younger children are often allowed to have gruel or porridge with butter on the side.
The Soup Days started as an attempt to make the contents of your larder last until the end of winter to avoid starvation. The celebrations end with the Kindness week and Kind Sunday.”

I really enjoyed drawing this illustration of a steaming wooden bowl with soup and coming up with the idea of this holiday! 🖌️🎨☕️

I've just completed the first hand-drawn map for our upcoming 5e campaign guide: "The Adventurer's Guide to Eastern Farraway"! 🖌️🎨☕️

The map is an overview of Buckwild, one of the two major regions in the realm. It's made using a dip ink pen and watercolours, and it's been a ton of fun to work on. Now I'm really looking forward to starting the next map!
